Staring in engine exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 5, circuit / open causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system o2 sensor negative current control bank 2 sensor 1, circuit / open and 'b' rocker arm actuator control, circuit low will delay your vw fault. |

05496 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 05496 Code
- Inspect all the connections 'a' rocker arm actuator system, stuck on
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
