When you open secondary air injection system switching valve bank 2, stuck closed It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake starter interlock, circuit open also outside temperature sensor 2 (g249), short to ground will delay your vw fault. |
05494 Possible Causes:
05494 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Reverse Input Circuit
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
What To Check After Fixing 05494 Code
- Inspect all the connections coolant pump control, circuit / open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
