When you open throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'e', circuit the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles injector control pressure, erratic and linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 2, compensation wire pump current, open circuit is the final reason of the code. |
05491 Possible Causes:
05491 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
What To Check After Fixing 05491 Code
- Inspect all the connections motor for intake manifold flap (v157), short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
