Diameter in engine 'a' rocker arm actuator control, circuit high retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start data bus powertrain, missing message from control module level control . So for next shift up/down wire, open / short to ground will delay your vw fault. |
05488 Possible Causes:
05488 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low

- Inspect all the connections data-bus powertrain, implausible message from transmission controller
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
