05457 Possible Causes:
05457 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 05457 Code
- Inspect all the connections hydraulic actuator position sender (g302), no / incorrect basic setting/adaptation
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
