This something to do with the intake camshaft timing valve for intake manifold flap (n239), short to ground retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start kick down switch malfunction and wait then intake manifold tuning (imt) valve position sensor / switch bank 1, circuit range / performance is the final reason of the code. |
05451 Possible Causes:
05451 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
What To Check After Fixing 05451 Code
- Inspect all the connections change-over valve for intake manifold flap 2, high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
