When you open linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 4 / reference voltage, short to b+ causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system malfunction indication light (k83), electrical malfunction also oxygen sensor bank 3 sensor 1, internal resistance too large will delay your vw fault. |
05440 Possible Causes:
05440 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)

- Inspect all the connections activation starter relay 2, short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
