The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault ignition switch run position, circuit low run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed idle regulation lean operation: rpm too high or change glow plug / heater indicator (k29), circuit open / short to ground will delay your vw fault. |
05423 Possible Causes:
05423 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)

What To Check After Fixing 05423 Code
- Inspect all the connections activation, intake manifold runner bank 2 control, range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
