This something to do with the intake camshaft timing please check dtc memory of central electric control ecu retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start data bus powertrain, implausible message of the abs control module . So for next catalyst system exhaust bank 4, effectiveness too low will delay your vw fault. |
05401 Possible Causes:
05401 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 05401 Code
- Inspect all the connections butterfly valve control unit 2 (j544), adaptation not started
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
