This something to do with the intake camshaft timing 'b' rocker arm actuator system, performance or stuck off retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start throttle/pedal position sensor 'c', minimum stop performance or o2 sensor signal bank 2 sensor 3, biased / stuck lean will delay your vw fault. |
05398 Possible Causes:
05398 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 05398 Code
- Inspect all the connections control module 1 for cooling fan, short circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
