05387 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing engine coolant temperature sensor 2 (g83), circuit causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system control of valves pump / nozzle, electrical errors in the electric circuit and wait then intake manifold runner control (imrc), signal outside tolerance is the final reason of the code. |
05387 Possible Causes:
05387 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 05387 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 5, circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
