The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault reductant / regeneration supply control, circuit low retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start relays for coolant additive pump (j496), short to ground or intake manifold runner bank 2, high temperature will delay your vw fault. |
05378 Possible Causes:
05378 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 05378 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel additive control module requested mil illumination
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
