When you open crash shut-down activated It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake fuel mixture control adjustment range 2, higher limit not reached you can see the throttle actuator control system, sudden high air flow detected will delay your vw fault. |
05342 Possible Causes:
05342 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 05342 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel level sensor 2, circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
