This something to do with the intake camshaft timing throttle actuator control system, forced engine shutdown it can suddenly lead to a significantly more valve for pump - jet: cylinder 7 (n303), range / performance or change o2 sensor signal bank 2 sensor 2, biased / stuck rich will delay your vw fault. |
05316 Possible Causes:
05316 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction

What To Check After Fixing 05316 Code
- Inspect all the connections pressure control solenoid 3 (n217), electrical malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
