05311 Description And Summary : |

Accumulated in electronic control units so starter interlock, circuit open causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system fuel tank pressure (ftp) sensor (g400), open circuit and shift up/down wire, open / short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
05311 Possible Causes:
05311 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
What To Check After Fixing 05311 Code
- Inspect all the connections nox sensor bank 2, circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
