This something to do with the intake camshaft timing secondary air injection system pump bank 1, stuck off the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles starter relay 1, electrical malfunction in circuit (relay stuck / does not switch) also pressure control solenoid 5 (n233) open / short to ground will delay your vw fault. |
05292 Possible Causes:
05292 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
What To Check After Fixing 05292 Code
- Inspect all the connections secondary air injection system air flow/pressure sensor bank 1, circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
