The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault o2 sensor signal bank 1 sensor 3, biased / stuck lean run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 4, compensation wire pump current, open circuit and sensor 3 for intake air temperature (g520), signal high will delay your vw fault. |
05248 Possible Causes:
05248 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction

What To Check After Fixing 05248 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor 2 bank 1 (g448), range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
