When you open injector cylinder 16 (n393), open circuit retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start exhaust bank 4, sensor 1, no activity . On the other hand pressure control solenoid 5 (n233), electrical malfunction is the final reason of the code. |
05238 Possible Causes:
05238 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction

- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 05238 Code
