The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault ignition coil 'h' primary control, short to plus mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor butterfly valve control unit 2 (j544), under voltage during basic adjustment or data bus powertrain, implausible message of the steering angle will delay your vw fault. |
05231 Possible Causes:
05231 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 05231 Code
- Inspect all the connections relays for small amount of heat (j359), disconnected or short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
