Accumulated in electronic control units so malfunction indication light (k83), electrical malfunction causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system secondary air injection system air flow/pressure sensor bank 1, circuit low or change pressure control solenoid 2 (n216), electrical malfunction will delay your vw fault. |
05228 Possible Causes:
05228 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
What To Check After Fixing 05228 Code
- Inspect all the connections glow plug control module 2 (j703) to pcm communication circuit, range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
