05220 Possible Causes:
05220 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 05220 Code
- Inspect all the connections radiator exhaust control 1, short-circuit after mass
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
