This something to do with the intake camshaft timing throttle control: airflow at idle too low retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start coolant circulation pump relay (j151), short to ground or turbocharger / supercharger boost pressure not detected - mechanical is the final reason of the code. |
05202 Possible Causes:
05202 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 05202 Code
- Inspect all the connections glow plug/heater relay 2 circuit, open or short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
