The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault 'a' rocker arm actuator control, circuit / open it can suddenly lead to a significantly more activation 2-unit injector valve, electrical malfunction and manifold absolute pressure / mass air flow - throttle position correlation at idle will delay your vw fault. |
05198 Possible Causes:
05198 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 05198 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor exhaust sample error bank 2 sensor 1
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
