This something to do with the intake camshaft timing solenoid ev 7 (n94), electrical malfunction causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system control of valves pump / nozzle, mechanical errors you can see the intake manifold tuning (imt) valve position sensor / switch bank 1, circuit range / performance is the final reason of the code. |
05198 Possible Causes:
05198 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 05198 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor 2 bank 2 (g449), electrical malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
