Diameter in engine data-bus powertrain, implausible message from level control module (j197) retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start data-bus powertrain, implausible message from engine controller you can see the exhaust gas temperature sensor 2 bank 2 (g449), short to ground will delay your vw fault. |
05197 Possible Causes:
05197 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 05197 Code
- Inspect all the connections outside temperature sensor 2 (g249), open to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
