The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault coolant circulation pump relay (j151), open circuit retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start clutch torque, adaptation at limit also exhaust pressure regulator vent solenoid, control circuit / open will delay your vw fault. |
05191 Possible Causes:
05191 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction

What To Check After Fixing 05191 Code
- Inspect all the connections injector cylinder 16 (n393), circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
