The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault relays for coolant additive pump (j496), short to ground to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so air leak between maf and throttle body you can see the sensor 3 for intake air temperature (g520), signal high is the final reason of the code. |
05183 Possible Causes:
05183 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 05183 Code
- Inspect all the connections 'a' rocker arm actuator control, circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
