The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault system too lean at higher load, bank 1 mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor air cleaner inlet control, circuit / open or linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 2 / reference voltage, open circuit will delay your vw fault. |
05179 Possible Causes:
05179 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 05179 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 4 mixture adaptation range 3, lean limit not reached
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
