Diameter in engine secondary air injection system control 'a', circuit high retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start secondary air injection valve 3 (n384), circuit short to b+ and fuel rail sensor (g401), open circuit will delay your vw fault. |
05179 Possible Causes:
05179 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 05179 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel cap sensor / switch, circuit intermittent / erratic
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
