05178 Possible Causes:
05178 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 05178 Code
- Inspect all the connections secondary air injection system control 'a', circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
