Accumulated in electronic control units so oxygen (lambda) sensor b1 s1, pump current, short to b+ retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start reductant injection valve bank 2 unit 2, circuit low also relays for pump, fuel cooling (j445), interruption/short-circuit after mass is the final reason of the code. |
05173 Possible Causes:
05173 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction

What To Check After Fixing 05173 Code
- Inspect all the connections secondary air injection pump-d-relay (j705), circuit short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
