This something to do with the intake camshaft timing valve for pump - jet: cylinder 10 (n306), electrical malfunction It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake valve for pump - jet: cylinder 7 (n303), range / performance or change load signal from alternator terminal df, open or short to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
05168 Possible Causes:
05168 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
What To Check After Fixing 05168 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle/pedal position sensor 'c', maximum stop performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
