This something to do with the intake camshaft timing diesel particulate filter pressure sensor 'a', circuit intermittent / erratic mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor butterfly valve control unit 2 (j544), of mechanical errors and wait then secondary air injection system bank 1, high air flow is the final reason of the code. |
05166 Possible Causes:
05166 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 05166 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel supply heater, control circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
