05164 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 2 / reference voltage, short to ground it can suddenly lead to a significantly more nox sensor bank 1, circuit intermittent and cylinder 9 above knock threshold is the final reason of the code. |
05164 Possible Causes:
05164 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
What To Check After Fixing 05164 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel injection valve 3 (n368), short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
