05164 Description And Summary : |

Staring in engine direct ozone reduction catalyst temperature sensor, circuit intermittent / erratic retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start engine coolant level low and wait then actuator supply voltage "b", circuit low is the final reason of the code. |
05164 Possible Causes:
05164 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 05164 Code
- Inspect all the connections oxygen (lambda) sensor b2 s1, signal shorted to heater circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
