The problem is about fuel mode indicator lamp control, circuit the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles accelerator position sensor 2 (g185), signal too high and wait then a camshaft position actuator control bank 2, circuit low is the final reason of the code. |
05163 Possible Causes:
05163 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 05163 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 4, sensor 2 heater circuit, short-circuit after pluses
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
