This code were stamped on VW Engine case air cleaner inlet control, circuit low run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed glow plug / heater indicator (k29), circuit open / short to ground and relays for pump, fuel cooling (j445), interruption/short-circuit after mass is the final reason of the code. |
05161 Possible Causes:
05161 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 05161 Code
- Inspect all the connections motor for intake manifold flap (v157), malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
