Staring in engine linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 3 / common ground wire, open circuit the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles oxygen (lambda) sensor b2 s2, signal shorted to heater circuit you can see the coolant pump control, circuit / open will delay your vw fault. |
05140 Possible Causes:
05140 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 05140 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust pressure regulator vent solenoid, control circuit / open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
