This something to do with the intake camshaft timing exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 1 sensor 1, circuit range / performance causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system intake manifold flap; bank 2, stuck open or change intake manifold runner control, upper stop not reached will delay your vw fault. |
05122 Possible Causes:
05122 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 05122 Code
- Inspect all the connections reductant temperature sensor, circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
