Staring in engine exhaust bank 4, sensor 2 heater circuit, electrical error the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles please check dtc memory of steering wheel electronics and manifold absolute pressure / mass air flow - throttle position correlation at idle will delay your vw fault. |
05118 Possible Causes:
05118 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 05118 Code
- Inspect all the connections boost pressure control valve (n249), mechanical malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
