05117 Description And Summary : |

The problem is about ignition coil 'i' secondary circuit, malfunction retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start exhaust gas temperature control circuit bank 4, out of range and turbocharger 2 control module (j725), high temperature is the final reason of the code. |
05117 Possible Causes:
05117 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 05117 Code
- Inspect all the connections turbocharger boost control position sensor 'b', circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
