051 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing engine coolant temperature sensor 2 (g83), circuit high retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start motor for intake manifold flap (v157), no signal also idle speed control throttle position 2, electrical malfunction is the final reason of the code. |
051 Possible Causes:
051 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
What To Check After Fixing 051 Code
- Inspect all the connections injector cylinder 14 (n391), circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
