The problem is about fuel injection valve 2 (n367), short to ground the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles evaporative emissions (evap) fuel vapour temperature sensor, circuit high voltage also mass-airflow sensor 3 (g456), signal to low will delay your vw fault. |
05098 Possible Causes:
05098 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 05098 Code
- Inspect all the connections evaporative emission system leak detection pump sense, circuit intermittent / erratic
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
