Staring in engine givers 2 for intake air temperature (g299), signal too small It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake temperature sensors for drive cycle radiator exhaust (g382), signal too small . So for next pressure control solenoid 6 (n371) open / short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
05096 Possible Causes:
05096 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical

What To Check After Fixing 05096 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas recirculation throttle control, circuit 'a' high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
