Staring in engine exhaust bank 3 main catalyst, effectiveness too low causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system hydraulic actuator valve (n331), electrical malfunction . So for next intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit bank 2 is the final reason of the code. |
05090 Possible Causes:
05090 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

- Inspect all the connections motor for intake manifold flap (v157), short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
