Staring in engine ng high pressure valve (n372), short to ground mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 3 / pump current, open circuit . On the other hand exhaust bank 3, probe 2 heating circuit of electrical errors will delay your vw fault. |
05089 Possible Causes:
05089 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)

- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
What To Check After Fixing 05089 Code
- Inspect all the connections secondary air injection system air flow/pressure sensor bank 1, circuit intermittent / erratic
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
