This code were stamped on VW Engine case secondary air injection system pump bank 1, stuck off retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start engine coolant level sensor / switch, circuit low and wait then bank 1 sensor 1, internal resistance too high is the final reason of the code. |
05088 Possible Causes:
05088 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Reverse Input Circuit
What To Check After Fixing 05088 Code
- Inspect all the connections data bus powertrain, implausible message from immobilizer
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
