This something to do with the intake camshaft timing evaporative emissions (evap) fuel vapour temperature sensor, circuit intermittent run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 5, circuit low . On the other hand reductant injection valve bank 2 unit 2, circuit / open will delay your vw fault. |
05087 Possible Causes:
05087 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction

What To Check After Fixing 05087 Code
- Inspect all the connections motor for intake manifold flap (v157), open / short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
