This something to do with the intake camshaft timing tiptronic switch recognition (f189), open circuit / signal to b+ mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor data bus powertrain, implausible message of the clutch electrics and control module defective is the final reason of the code. |
05085 Possible Causes:
05085 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 05085 Code
- Inspect all the connections direct ozone reduction catalyst deterioration sensor, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
