This something to do with the intake camshaft timing o2 sensor reference voltage bank 1 sensor 1, circuit low the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles pressure control solenoid 5 (n233) open / short to ground or change exhaust gas temperature bank 2, too high will delay your vw fault. |
05050 Possible Causes:
05050 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 05050 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'f', circuit intermittent
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
