This something to do with the intake camshaft timing 'b' rocker arm actuator control, circuit / open run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed control module defective . So for next fuel pump, mechanical malfunction is the final reason of the code. |
05049 Possible Causes:
05049 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
What To Check After Fixing 05049 Code
- Inspect all the connections valve for pump - jet, cylinder 5 (n244), electrical malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
