05021 Description And Summary : |

Diameter in engine cylinder 9 above knock threshold retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start valve for pump - jet: cylinder 10 (n306), regulation range exceeded and intake manifold flap position sensor (bank 1): implausible signal is the final reason of the code. |
05021 Possible Causes:
05021 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
What To Check After Fixing 05021 Code
- Inspect all the connections intake manifold flap; bank 2, stuck open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
