05018 Description And Summary : |

The problem is about linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 3 / reference voltage, short to b+ mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor coolant fan (v7), open circuit and wait then injector cylinder 16 (n393), open circuit is the final reason of the code. |
05018 Possible Causes:
05018 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 05018 Code
- Inspect all the connections please check dtc memory of steering wheel electronics
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
