Diameter in engine givers 2 for intake air temperature (g299), signal too small to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so hydraulic actuator position sender (g302), electrical malfunction in circuit or change nox sensor heater sense bank 1, circuit high will delay your vw fault. |
05018 Possible Causes:
05018 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction

- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 05018 Code
- Inspect all the connections intake air heater "a", circuit open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
